Maui Views Slideshow:

The below slideshow consists of a small number of Maui views we saw during our visits to the island.  Maui’s geographic configuration, due to the height of Haleakala volcano, results in very diverse weather patterns on the North side of the island vs. the South.  This results in lush green fields on the North side of the island, where it rains briefly almost every day.  This area is known as up-country, primarily because it leads to the top of Haleakala.  South Maui on the other hand, rarely sees rain, it is limited to 4 – 10 inches a year and which falls mainly in December – January.
